Balloon Decor is the creative result of 25 years experience in the Party Supply and Function/Display Decorating Industry.

Beginning life in Melbourne, Australia in 1976 as 'OK Party Supplies' a family owned (Australia's first) Party Shop.

Balloon began trading in 1983 as the beginnings of an Australian Balloon Decorating Industry was developing and husband and wife Sean & Edelgard O'Kelly could clearly see a need to learn, develop and implement innovative techniques into this expanding industry.

As they began to receive requests for a professional decorating service for both private and corporate clients they gained vast experience in many areas of the industry and quickly became acknowledged as leaders in the field. Providing much more than the standard party helium balloons, balloon bunches and the traditional balloon decoration they have grown to be designers and teachers to the industry at numerous Conventions constantly setting a new benchmark that many other Balloon Artists aspire to.

By 1994 with the majority of their work being 'on-site decorating' the decision was made to close their then 18 year old retail party supply business in Glen Huntly, Melbourne and relocate to a home-based office in Dingley Village where they focused exclusively on their craft of innovative balloon decorations .

Without the constant demand of a retail business Balloon Decor was born and flourished

allowing this husband and wife team to concentrated solely on developing their artistic abilities further to become one of the foremost creative balloon decorating business' in the world today. In 2008 after attending and /or teaching at no less than 14 Balloon Conventions in both Australia and overseas they have both worked along side and even taught techniques to some of the most respected exponents of the art.

Sean has has now extend his vast repertoire of class subjects and skills to include computer graphics, using CorelDRAW. Sponsored by Corel Corporation Australia he has given many classes on the use of utilising the program in a Balloon Business at conventions in both Australia and in America. Edelgard, Balloon Decor continue to strive to be leaders in the arena of creative decorations.

By combining elements of design, fashion and floristry with the principles of engineering and their natural artistic flair with a healthy dash of eccentric creativeness they have constructed stunning decor and breathtaking sculptures in venues such as

On a number of occasions Edelgard, has gained additional accolades from industry peers around the world when she designed, constructed and installed all the display decor for her 5th Industry Catalogue for the Australian balloon company Premier Balloons. So impressed with the final result Premier shared the photos with their 'sister' companies around the world resulting in her displays featuring in two additional catalogues, promotional flyers and Web Sites for overseas companies with photos of her work being enlarged as oversized posters to enhance the decor of trade shows around the world.

Edelgard's original Table Decor pieces are legendary, renowned as exciting examples of her creative prowess. Incorporating both her passion for floristry and the methodology of balloon decor design she delivers in a unique style of her own.
